although details are scant, at least until its showing at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show later this month, the 2014 Maserati Ghibli Sports Executive Sedan is still as desirable as ever. call us superficial, but the fact remains that this car is an absolute beauty. the latest iteration of the Ghibli is destined to be first production car from the Italy luxury automaker’s stable to be fitted with a diesel unit – a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged diesel, to be more specific. though no performance figures are indicated. from the scraps of what we know from the press release, this compression-ignition engine driven luxury sports sedan will be mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, driving either the rear wheels or the new ‘Q4’ all-wheel drive system. so, you could say the 2014 Ghibli is the smaller version of the Quattroporte.
