so you think the 481 hp of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG isn’t exhilarating enough? then perhaps, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 would better satisfy the speed demon in you, regardless of whether you are young and single, a family man or a man who needs to hit the grocery stores a little more often than you should. so why “Edition 507” you ask? because the Stuttgart folks might be on the same page as you and inject some tweaks into the 6.3-liter V8 unit, bumping its power output to 507 hp (372 kW) with a peak torque of 610 Nm (450 lb-ft). the 50 hp (37 kW) increase is made possible by the introduction of forged pistons, connecting rods, as well as a lightweight crankshaft. along with the increased power, the Edition 507 also received an AMG high-performance composite braking system with red brake calipers, along with the rest of the AMG Driver’s package which also happens to include a voucher for the attendance of a driver training session at the AMG Driving Academy.

other details include titanium grey-painted variable intake manifold. a a distinctive aluminum bonnet to aid heat dissipation, new AMG light-alloy cross-spoke rolling stocks shod in 235/35R 19 (front) and 255/30R 19 (rear) rubbers, AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey above the side sill panels, bootlid lip spoiler (only on sedan and coupe models), high-gloss black exterior mirror housings, radiator grille and daytime driving lights surround, darkened headlamps and a sporty yet functional interior (as always) with three different equipment and appointment to choose from. on the performance department, the Edition 507 makes the century sprint in 4.2 seconds (4.3 seconds on the Estate model) and has a raised top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph) – thanks in part to its SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 will go under the limelight at the Geneva Motor Show in March with the sales of all the three models (coupe, sedan and estate) to begin on April 8, 2013. price is, of course, yet to be announced. check out the a small gallery of the Edition 507 after the break.
