we all know the prowess of a SRT tricked out Viper, but in case you have your eyes set on the track duties, then do yourself a favor and check out the track-tuned 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack). as the name implies, the TA spec-package is for extreme performance on tracks with special attention given to the handling department, as well as stopping power. that said, what goes under the hood is still the same handcrafted, all-aluminum 8.4-liter V10 overhead-valve unit, pumping out 640 horses (477 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lb-ft) of peak torque. packing in pre-developed components straight out of the SRT stable, the 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack) boasts a 50/50 weight distribution and features a suspension setup tuned for track usage including a two-mode Bilstein Damptronic suspension system with firmer levels of damping, and an ultra lightweight Sidewinder II wheels shod in high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
other features include a carbon fiber structural brace, 50-percent increase in torsional rigidity and stiffness, Brembo brake system in black anodized finish with ‘Crusher Orange’ Viper logo, a special ‘Crusher Orange’ paint work, an advanced aerodynamic package that comprises of racers’ functional favorites such as carbon fiber front splitters and rear spoiler, as well as carbon fiber rear applique. on the inside, you will be greeted with a predominantly black “driver-oriented” cabin where you will find lightweight fiberglass Sabelt racing seats wrapped in ballistic fabric, a choice of three- or six-point harness seat belts, and “Crusher Orange” accent stitching across the seats, instrument panel, console, handbrake handle, shifter boot and knob, steering wheel and upper doors. only 33 units of the 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack) in the awesome Crusher Orange hue will be made at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Motor City from Q3 of 2013. prior to that, the 2014 SRT Viper TA (Time Attack) will make its debut at the New York International Auto Show 2013 on the March 27 (Jacob Javits Center in NYC).
