the diesel model is a 2,142cc engine with 170 hp (125 kW) and 400 Nm of torque on the tap, enabling it to make the century mark in 8.1 seconds. the C180 has a 1.6-liter petrol unit, delivering 156 hp (115 kW) and a promising 250 Nm of peak torque that allows this new mid-size luxury ride to swiftly zip from 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. the at-launch top-spec C200, on the other hand, has a 2.0-liter petrol unit that makes 184 horses (135 kW) and turns out 300 Nm to make the sprint in 7.5 seconds. granted, those figures are anything but mind-boggling, but then it is nevertheless a balance between three key elements: eco-friendliness, power and luxury. of course, there are more variants will be added after the official market launch, including an AMG in the lineup, catering to the power-hungry folks. so power addicts, you may want to hold out for that said beast. additionally, a hybrid with four-pod diesel in the form of a C300 BlueTEC Hybrid will also be offered.
