Adidas miCoach Fit Smart Fitness Watch

if you count yourself a fitness enthusiast, but often lacks the discipline to serious workout (ironical, but it happens), then Adidas miCoach Fit Smart might be able to push you along. not the first wearable tech from the German sporting brand, but this one is more well-rounded, keeping track of the calories burned, monitor heart rate and keep tab on the distance covered, speed, pace and more. we wouldn’t say it has the sleekest design of all wearables, it does, however, sports the usual ‘pretty cool’ Adidas design flair, and touts a strap made of soft-touch silicone and a row of LEDs on one side that changes color to reflect the intensity of a workout. a built-in sensor on the underside of the device monitors your heart rate, while vibration and visual prompts, i.e. the LEDs, gives you real time intensity guidance as you work your way through the routine.

the highlight of Fit Smart is its ability to measure the heart rate relating to the physical activity and then guides you to train in the “right intensity for the best results.” the Fit Smart is, in a sense, a virtual coach, except you won’t be yelled at, call names or being spit at. well, you get the idea. the device works in sync with miCoach app, allowing you to set weekly goals, track your progress and if you are clueless about what to do, the app also lets you choose a training plan to follow. granted, it probably won’t elevate you to become the best athlete, but hopefully, its beauty and the functionalities, plus ease of use, will help you stick to your training routine. expect the Adidas miCoach Fit Smart to hit the stores later next month with a $199 sticker.
