it is true we have featured countless headphones here but today we are going to be honest with you: yes, those cans we featured were all attractive headphones and probably sounds superb too but none is truly breathtaking as far as aesthetic goes – breathtaking as in one that makes you hold your breath and utter, uncontrollably, ‘oh, my God. that’s a beauty!’ but today, we came across one and it hails from the most unlikely place: Paris. meet the Aedle VK-1 Headphones, the one pair of audio cans that fall right into to that ‘breathtaking’ category we talked about. two years in the making and 25 prototypes later, this uber sleek sound cans is finally making its way around the globe in February 2013. available in the classic edition and the carbon limited edition, each pair is assembled in Brittany, France and has the finest features such as titanium diaphragm, neodymium magnet, 40mm driver with 40mW of power, passive bass enhancement system, hand sewn genuine lambskin leather, CNC machined T6066 aircraft-grade aluminum, 3.5mm Aramid fiber coated detachable cable with microphone and comes bundled with travel pouch, airline adapter plus a 6.5mm adapter. though, as exquisite and desirable it is, the Aedle is by no means an average consumer’s headphones as owning would set you back at $325 a pair for the classic edition while the carbon limited edition costs 35 bucks more. each unit comes with its own Aedle Serial Number Metal Card, insuring that you are getting the real deal product (not that they will be any counterfeits but it is always good have some reassurance). check out the Aedle story in the video clip after the break.
