feeling the gigahertz crunch when it comes to PC gaming? fret not cos’ AMD has announced its latest offering that breaks the one gigahertz barrier – the AMD Radeon HD 7700 GHz Edition and they achieved this milestone without any over-clocking magic. based on its 28nm technology, the graphics card is also pretty affordable with a starting price tag of $159. granted that higher clock speed does not necessary yield the best gaming results but still, it is one gigahertz after all. how bad can it get? expect the HD 7700 to be laced with technologies that include AMD’s new Graphics Core Next (or GCN) Architecture, PCI Express 3.0, AMD ZeroCore Power, PowerTune, AMD Eyefinity 2.0 and AMD App technologies. the graphics card is available as at February 15th through AMD’s worldwide retailers and e-tailers. at the same time, the HD 7700 series GPU will also be available through AMD’s add-in-board partners including Sapphire, Powercolor, HIS, XFX, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI.
