while we are drawn to today’s supercars, none of them actually bears the lines that we have envisioned about the cars of the future. we are not referring to flying cars (that doesn’t look like an aircraft, that is) or magnetically levitated vehicles. we are still far from those, instead, we are talking about the looks department. often, the vehicles of the future are presented on the big screen as bold and edgy with a hint of masculinity in them which don’t quite see in today’s supercars, except for one: the Aspid GT-21 Invictus. hailed from Spain, this rear-wheel driven sports coupe is fitted with a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter V8 power plant with 450 horses (331 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) on the tap, mated to a choice of a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox or six-speed manual that enables this 990 kilograms (2,182 pounds) rocket to make a century sprint in under three seconds and on its way to a terminal speed of 305 km/h (189 mph).

other highlights include composite body panels, a spaceframe chassis, twin disc brake all-round, integrated rollcage, front adaptive driver airbag, ESP and ABS. though the vehicle is designed for two, it can be configured to 2+2, however, Aspid suggested that the rear is a “perfect option for enjoying the GT-21 with children or 4 adults on short trips.” well, that pretty much give you an idea how the back seats will be like in terms of spaciousness. then again, it is already surprising enough for a car that sits in the supercar territory to be able to configure into a 2+2 ride, and still having a 275-liter luggage space to boot. no price has been given as yet but according to Aspid, the Invictus is geared towards the premium sports car segment and will have a limited 250 units per year production “to retain its exclusivity”, so you know it is going to be a premium price sports car. the good news is, you will have pretty of time to save up for this saucy ride as the targeted production is said to be in 2014. head past the jump for a few more look and a short official clip.
