you would probably remember the 1960’s Bang & Olufsen transistor Beolit radios and like all good things that had past us, we would love to re-experience those lovely gadgets with a touch of the 21st century technologies. the B&O PLAY Beolit 12 Portable Music System is just one of those gadgets that will certainly appeal to the most style-conscious music heads. clad in a hand-assembled aluminum casing, this sleek portable music system features a 120 watts digital Class D power amplifier driving a pair of 2-inch tweeters and a 4-inch subwoofer that promised to deliver “powerful, accurate sound performance” enough to fill a middle size room. other highlights include support for Apple’s AirPlay technology, a built-in power supply, a rechargeable battery that’s good for 8-hours of use under normal sound level, and our personal favorite feature, an Italian full-grain leather carrying strap. though we thought a brown strap would be perfect for completing the nostalgic look. anyhow, the B&O PLAY Beolit 12 Portable Music System is available from this month via Bang & Olufsen Online Store and Apple Stores in the dark grey option with a price tag of $799 a pop. additional colors that include yellow, blue, and light grey, will hit the stores in Spring.
