Build Upons Light Up Bricks

LEGO is arguably the most successful building block toy of our time, but it is not without shortfalls. Ok, maybe it is not quite a shortfall per se, but it could certainly benefit from having lighted blocks. Looking at the bricks and the complexity of integrating LED element into each brick, it is unlikely that the Danish company would offer such an item anytime soon and so, if you have any wish to see your LEGO automobile come alive with real working headlights or even taillights, your only hope for now would be Build Upons Light Up Bricks by Lunchbox Electronics. Sure, there are other third party options in the market now, but if you are thinking of integrating lights into an existing creation with bricks as small as 1×1 brick size, then Build Upons would be the right fit.

Build Upons Light Up Bricks

Unlike the firms previous iteration, these second generation light up bricks do not have unsightly leads. Instead, they are true stackable, lighted bricks with contacts on the stud and under the brick. To get the brick with LED to light up, it requires the use of a bridge brick and a power brick. The latter is where you plug in the source, while the bridge brick is use to route the power to the LED-equipped brick, providing you with flexibility of design. Though it is worthy to note that you can also choose to use just the power brick and light brick if your design does not require it to be routed. A simple but effective solution to lending your LEGO creations, such as automobiles, architecture and such with lights and bringing life to them. All you need to do is to find a place to hide your power source, which in this case, will be a battery pack.
