Touch Bar Demo App for Mac

We picked up this news three weeks ago but we thought it wouldn’t matter cos’ Mac users are unlikely to be skeptical about the new MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar. Fact is, everyone, Mac users or not, has the right to be skeptical. I mean, we are talking about removing the entire row of function keys which naturally will instill some form of ‘fear’. Not knowing is the devil behind this ‘fear’. However, if you sort of know how it works, maybe, just maybe, you will be more prepared for what you will be getting into, or on the opposite spectrum, abandon the idea of owning a Touch Bar-equipped MacBook altogether. Anywho, for folks who are still on the fence about Touch Bar even though there are already some favorable reviews circulating around, we have news for you.

You can actually ‘test drive’ it first and the best part is, there’s no need to compete with other Apple fanboys at your local Apple stores to have a go at it. You can do it at the comfort of your home, on your own Mac, any Mac, really, with a new app called Touch Bar Demo. The app offers two ways to interact with the ’Touch Bar’: first, puts the ‘Touch Bar’ on your Mac, which obviously, won’t give you the actual touch experience when you explores its capability and second way leverages on the touchscreen functionality of your iPad for the ‘Touch Bar’ experience on your Mac. Though it is worthy to note that the iPad has to be connected to the Mac via USB.
