you know the feeling of how much you love something the moment you lay your eyes on them but can’t really explain the sudden affection? the DeAntonio Yachts D23 Speedboat is one such object that invoke that sacred feeling. don’t ask us why. it just happens. then again, it could be its unconventional, sharp and almost toy-like appearance that bags our attention and makes us put the D23 in our ‘want it now list’. we are very certain that it is not the hidden outboard Suzuki motor with 115 horses that draws us to it, though we can’t deny that feature is aesthetically appealing to some extend. this minimalist watercraft is constructed from fiberglass and polyester resin with the deck finished in ever-so-classy teak, along with several details in carbon fiber, especially designed by Spanish design house Ubica. this 7-meter (22-foot) boat can ferry up to six folks and comes standard with LED navigation and decorative lights, carbon fiber flag pole, two carbon bow mooring fairleads, anchoring kit, windshield, bilge pump, four retractable cleats and an instrument panel consisting of speedometer, tachometer, fuel status as well as engine trim. the boat is totally configurable to your fancy with a myriad of options including more powerful motor (Evinrude’s items offering 150 and 175 hp), bow sun deck, electric winch for anchor, full navigation system, choice of refrigerator, retractable table with hydraulic foot and sun deck cushion, sea access ladder, audio system, canvas awning or carbon fiber hardtop, raised windshield and additional storage under deck – just to name a few. scroll down for a few more look at this charming speedboat.
