Floating Hoverboard Display by Createv

Hoverboard is a reality now, well, kind of cos’ they are not what as depicted in the sci-fi movie Back to the Future. Most of them can’t work without special surfaces, except for a couple (or one, to be exact) and they certainly can’t go anywhere (again, except for one). So, your only hope for a real “Mattel” hoverboard (essentially a hover scooter, but McFly plucked the handle out) is the Floating Hoverboard Display by Crealev. It is a replica of Mattel hoverboard, packed with Createv’s magnetic levitation technology that gives it the hovering ability.

And yes, it actually hovers. Not surprisingly as it is the science of magnet. Basically, what you get is a replica for display only, you know, for your BTTF altar of sort. The board measures 720 x 200 mm and weighs in at 2.55 kg (4.4 lbs) and it comes with a 330 x 850mm tabletop base to enable the magnetic levitation. There’s no load limit cos’ it is not meant to be a transportation and it definitely won’t function over water. Until the day true gravity-defying engine is developed, this will be your best bet. In fact, we shouldn’t even be surprised that it works as we have seen a number of toys and stuff, including floating Iron Man, speakers and the likes, leveraging on MagLev.

However, we are not sure if it is worth the asking price of 1,950 euros, or $2,608, if you pick it up from The Fancy. That’s hell lot of money to pay for a static piece.
