The hype of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may not be as big as Star Wars: The Force Awakens but the collectibles are certainly bigger, like literally. First, it was the Armored Batman Life-size Figure, now there’s another life-size Batman, also by Hot Toys, in his more ‘regular’ getup as we will see in the upcoming DC Comics’ blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Batman v Superman Batman Life-size Collectible Figure is part of Hot Toys’ Life-size Masterpiece Series and it boasts, not surprisingly, movie-accurate and realistic details like Ben Affleck’s jaw (almost time for him to shave, eh?), Batman’s cowl, fabric cape, and fine detail and textures.
Like the Armored version, this particular figure also stands at a towering 2.2 meters (7.2 feet!) or 1.9 meters (6.3 feet) without circular base with light-up function and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice emblem. Similarly, it is not articulated, which pretty much makes it a sculpture and as you might have noticed, it has only one light function and that’s on the platform. Then again, that’s what Batman is all about, right? All dark and gloomy. Sio I guess, I suits the theme just perfectly. Strange that there’s no sight of life-size version of Henry Cavill’s Superman. I am guessing Superman is not in demand?
Anyways, if you are up for it and resides in the U.S., you can pre-order this impressive Hot Toys Batman v Superman Batman Life-size Collectible Figure for $750 per month, or a cool $7,499.99 in full, via Sideshow. Not sure how much this thing retails elsewhere though.
