Tanky Read-T0-Fly FPV Racing Drone

Most Formula 1 drivers started with go-karting which is obviously easier to handle and financially less taxing if they don’t have the financial backing. What about racing drone? Well, you are likely on your own which means you will have to have a rig to start practicing, get into races and hopefully get discovered. But mostly, its all out of pocket expenses. And lets be honest, a properly rigged drone is not cheap and that’s not mention it required countless hours of setting up and fine tuning. Luckily, there are ready-to-fly racing drones like the Tanky in the market, so you can start honing your flying skills without spending a whole lot of time in the garage.

And it is totally capable of aerobatic too…

Tanky is an ambitious project that wants to bring the sport of drone racing to everyone, but unfortunately, its first crowdfunding endeavor did not reach the desired target. Nevertheless, we just want you to let you in on Tanky as the folks will be hitting up crowdfunding once again. Claimed as the work’s fastest production racing drone, Tanky a racing quadcopter through and through, featuring an aerodynamic, clean, and perfectly symmetrical and balanced design coupled with powerful motors that affords an incredible speed and agility.

Though it is worthy to note that, while we are impressed by Tanky, it lacks the numbers to back up the claim as the fastest. That’s not to say it is a bluff. We are not here to judge. However, we got to say if Tanky runs like what the video shown, then it sure looks pretty damn fast. Some of the notables feature include a carbon fiber and thermoplastic built, remotely tilt-able integrated camera, programmable LEDs, latest flight software, powerful brushless motors, unbreakable props, and a full-fledge LCD-equipped remote with OSD.

We are not sure how much Tanky will cost when in its next crowdfunding attempt, but the last time, it was asking for between $499-599. And that’s not including the FPV goggles, btw. Still quite a deal, considering you need not to cobble up one for yourself and it is tuned and ready to rock.
