two and half years on, Jaguar is still pursuing the C-X75 Hybrid Supercar; so does it mean it is going to be reality? we don’t know for sure. anyway, from what we have read, it looks like some numbers are up from when we last heard of it; the driving force behind this lust-worthy prototype is a Formula 1-inspired 1.6-liter “dual-boosted” turbo- and supercharged four-cylinder unit, pumping out a cool 502 bhp, and a pair of electric motors with around 390 bhp. combining those figures, we are looking a mind-boggling 892 horses from a (somewhat) green machine that emits less than 89g/km of CO2. electrically, it has a range of 60 km (37 miles), but why would you want to that when it can get from standstill to 100 mph (160 km/h) in no more than six seconds? putting the immense power to all four wheels is an advanced 7-speed automated manual transmission that boasts super quick gearshifts, which also happens to be responsible for the super quick acceleration.

in order to keep the car sticking to the tarmac at extreme speed, the car features deployable aerofoil, as well as underfloor aerodynamics which gives the C-X75 over 200 kilograms of downforce at 200 mph (322 km/h). no further information with regards to its target availability, or will it even be receiving the green light from Jaguar’s top brass, or is this car destined to be a blueprint future hybrid technologies that British marque will be building on. whatever it is, we shouldn’t let ourselves pass on some awesome images, which you can find in the gallery below.
