New York-based Australian artist Cimon, created this one-off special LEGO Cargo Ship that is said to be inspired by the efforts by the people around the world to help the tsunami devastated nation of Japan. the ship is no ordinary LEGO item, it is sculptured out from ‘metalized’ LEGO bricks and embellished with Swarovski crystals. the ship, aptly entitled “Love To The Rescue“, carries a cargo of hearts (in crystals, no less) in various sizes and colors, while staying afloat on a glittering sea. the details that went into this stunning LEGO sculpture is impeccable. even the ‘sea’ are not spare from the crystallized treatment and it even has a varying blue hue to it that makes the overall sculpture even more majestic. Cimon Art has recently donated the “Love To The Rescue” to the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, and it is expect to fetch around $40,000 when it goes under the gavel at the Angel Ball Auction to be held on the October 17 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. check out more images of the “Love To The Rescue” after the break.
