when it comes to standing out from the millions of other iPhone 5 users, money does it all. though we have to quantify that we are still unsure about how much this luxe-up iPhone 5 from Geneva-based firm Golden Dreams will cost but they are certain to be pricey. there are two editions available: the Desert Edition and the Gold Edition 24ct. the former is touted as the world’s first leather covered iPhone with certified Mississippi Alligator leather wrapping up the entire middle section of the handset’s back. however that’s the not the most amazing part about the Desert Edition; the Swiss team uses Swiss Micro engineering to keep to the phone’s original thickness or should we say, thinness by reengineering the entire back in order to accommodate the sumptuous leather. so as you can see, beauty, in this case, is not just skin deep. in keeping with the concept of individuality, the Desert Edition is available in a choice of colors and have the option to go the ostentatious route with 24ct. gold plated rim or for the more discreet, black chrome rim. however, if all the way loud is your cup of Earl Grey, then the (almost) all-out Gold Edition 24ct. is the edition of choice for you. this edition sports a gold mirror backing for the whole of the phone’s middle back part and is further polished to give the added mirror-like quality. that, naturally, goes hand-an-hand with a gold rim and is available in either white or black. personally, i though the black looks awesome with the gold but if i have the money and the phone isn’t so longish to start with, i would prefer the leather in orange hue. another look after the break.
