Seen enough of sky and the ocean surfaces? Well, then it is time to take your adventure beneath the surface. Nope, not underground, tho. Mankind have yet to find a way to safely bored into the ground and besides, there’s really nothing see within the Earth’s crust, so I guess the next logical step is to go into the ocean and explore the deeps of the ocean and what better way to do so in a submarine? Sure, you can always go the diving route, but if sharks and the unknown scares you, then a sub is the way to go and the Ortega Mk. 1C Three Seater Personal Submarine is one such underwater craft that will allows you and two other person to cut through the deep blue with ease.
Powered by a pair of high-power electric motors, Mk. 1C has a carefully thought out hull that makes it quick on both above and under the water, affording a top surface speed of 9 knots (10.4 mph) and submersed speed of 11 knots (12.7 mph) while a trimming tank (think: ballast) enables you to take it down to a depth of 310 feet (95 meters). An onboard battery system enables this uber-sleek watercraft to push quite a distance too, to a range of 80 nautical miles, or 92 miles in land speaks. Onboard breathing apparatus and HUD navigation system comes standard with Magnetometers, sonar, FLIR, and extra air supply or a 250L extended cargo hold offered as options.
No pricing or availability has been disclosed, but as with any personal submarines, rest assure this is an elite big boy toy, which means it is going to cost quite a fortune. In other words, it is the thing to buy if you already have a personal jet, a yacht, and a sea-front mansion.
