We accustomed to super-heroines in sexy costumes. That’s almost like a standard these days cos’ sexy and hero or heroine kind of goes hand-in-hand (man, what are we teaching the kids?). However, if someone were to put together a super-heroine exclusive calendar, that wouldn’t be as sensational, or should we say, rousing? Enters Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz, the London-based photographers who literally made a splash last year with the Milky Pin Ups Calendar 2014 (we didn’t cover that, but you can check it out here) and today, he is back at it again, making splashes all over again, but this time, the topic of choice is super-heroine which he calls it “Splash Heroes Calendar 2015“. Can you imagine Wonder Woman ‘dressed’ in paint splashed on her? Can’t? Well, fret not. Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz will show you how the various iconic super-heroines will look like in his terms.
Taking some of the most famous DC and Marvel super-heroines, including the likes of Captain Marvel, She-Hulk (yes, even she is onboard), Catwoman, Elektra, Super Girl and more, Wieczorkiewicz uses the same techniques which he employed to capture the Milk series by splashing the models with buckets of colored paint and capturing the moment with high-speed photography. The bevy of images are then digitally manipulated to create the stunning photographs, some of which you can see posted here.
