in a recent report by Netbook Italia, an Italy language blog focus on mobile computing ‘uncovered’ Samsung latest business oriented netbook, dubbed the Series 4 400BSBs. i’m not the black Armani suited business person but i’m totally sold by the sneak images. for some reasons, it reminds me of IBM Thinkpad in its heydays. sporting an aluminum chassis, this 12.5-inch netbook is reportedly able to withstand a 72 centimeters high drop and a pressure of 500 grams.

under the hood is the Intel’s Sandy Bridge based Core i3-2310M processor, 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive, a 1366 x 768 LED backlit monitor and Intel GMA HD graphic processor. as we can see the standard package comes with standard hard drive which came as a surprise as the netbook is designed to withstand drops. however, thankfully, there’s an option for SSD storage. other features include WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth, 6-cell battery pack and there is an option for the faster Core i5 or i7 processor. word is, 3G is an option too.

it looks like the netbook also sports a la-IBM pointing stick for the ease of mouse navigation which is a familiar feature to loyal IBM Thinkpad users. it all sound exciting but unfortunately, there are no words on its availability and pricing at this point in time.
