Samsung PRO Plus and EVO Plus Memory Cards

With the advancements in mobile photography and increase resolution coming from today’s advanced DSLRs, it is not surprising that memory cards are constantly being acquired by consumers. Personally, I rather not erase the content to make way for the new, but that’s just a personal preference. If you share the same sentiment, then I am guessing every now and then you are on a lookout for memory cards and if so, Samsung has two new models, the Samsung PRO Plus and EVO Plus Memory Cards, worthy of your considerations.

The new PRO Plus is designed to devour professional-grade photos, as well as 4K UHD video content created by your DSLR, smartphone, tablet and action camera, and boasts read and write speeds of up to 95 MB/s and 90 MB/s, respectively. Available in a choice of 32GB and 64GB capacities, the PRO Plus offers up to 110 minutes of 4K video or up to 490 minutes of Full HD video. The EVO Plus on the other hand, is geared towards smartphone, tablet, compact camera and camcorder users. It is not as fast as the PRO Plus, but at up to 80 MB/s and 20 MB/s read and write speeds, it should be more than ample to take on your Full HD creations.

EVO Plus comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities, offering a storage space for up to 10,000+ photos or over 30,000 songs, or 980 minutes of Full HD video recording. Whichever you choose, it comes standard with “upgraded Samsung 5-proof features”, which include waterproof, temperature proof, X-ray proof, magnetic proof (resisting up to 15,000 gauss magnetic force) and shock proof, and is totally capable of being submerged in saltwater for up to 72 hours, which is a remarkable 66 percent improvement over the existing cards. Samsung will roll the microSD variety this month with SD cards following suit. Pricing is being withheld for now.
