lack of hilly terrains in the urban area to enjoy the downhill thrills? then we say, do the downstairs instead. yup. that’s right, going down the stairs and that’s what the aptly named Stair-Rover can and will let your do. the Stair-Rover is designed from the ground up to let you “surf the entire city” and anyone who lives in the city knows very well what a typical city has to offer: curbs, uneven pavings, cobblestone walkways, stairs, stairs and more stairs. in order to tackle these modern day, urban terrains, the Stair-Rover is designed with twice as many wheels (yes, eight of them!) paired to four patent-pending V-frames, custom aluminum trucks, and a chassis crafted from engineering thermoplastic.

the result? a maple/fiber glass longboard that has an almost car-like independent suspension system, where the wheels will conform to the shape of each steps or uneven surfaces. with this car-like handling, the Stair-Rover can sail through skateboard-unfriendly surfaces with minimal impact to you. basically, with this longboard you can go just about anywhere in the city, regardless of whether you are a serious longboarder, or just a casual rider using it to get around the city. it sounds totally awesome, but there’s just a slight issue here: the Stair-Rover ‘Downstairs’ Longboard won’t exist without your help; for which, you can do so by making a pledge of £235 or more via the team‘s crowdfunding endeavor on Kickstarter.
