If, in the Star Wars universe, Mos Eisley Cantina was a tiki bar instead, then perhaps you could choose to drink with Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, R2-D2, a Stormtrooper, or even Yoda. Oh, wait. Those heroes and villains won’t sit side-by-side with you to down a glass of exotic extra-terrestrial cocktail, but it could be serving whatever cocktail you fancy totem-style ceramic mugs with the image of the said characters. Pretty cool, right? Well, except maybe for Artoo, cos’ we thought that was a little off. Perhaps it is the lack of the iconic dome head and the signature blue accent that makes it less convincing. Other than the astromech, the rest are pretty dope.
If you ask me, I’d say my personal pick would be Chewie and Lord Vader. Chewie’s brown shade and tall stature totally make it very totem-ish and perhaps it is worthy of being worshipped? The beauty of these tiki drinkware is, all five styles, though share same internal diameter of 2 inches, varies in height and exterior diameter. Needless to say, Chewbacca is the tallest, standing a good 7 and half inches tall and the diameter varies between 2 1/4” – 5 1/2”, depending on the sculpt. Star Wars Geeki Tikis are officially licensed Star Wars merchandise created by the nerdy bunch over at ThinkGeek. You can pick one up as we speak for $14.99-$72.99. They are not dishwasher and microwave safe. Makes sense cos’ I bet none of them likes to take the heat.
