A Lake Is Not Going To Stop This Russian Made Sherp ATV From Going Places

All-Terrain Vehicle, or commonly known as ATV, is designed to go just about anywhere. A true ATV can hit up the beaten trails, but then again, it is not quite “all-terrain” if it stop short of water, right? Unfortunately, that’s the case for most ATVs, but not the Sherp ATV. Looking more like a life-size Tonka Truck, this Russian-made machine is equipped with four ginormous self-inflated tires, each measuring 1.6 meters in diameter (62.9″), which, together with a generous clearance, allows it climb over up to 70 cm (2.3′) obstacles and wade across waterbody without ending up in the bottom of the lake. Instead of the usual treads you find on a regular tires, Sherp ATV’s massive rubbers sport makeshift paddles that also serve as traction treads when on land. You Can Own the Terrain Like a Boss with Renegade Hovercraft, without Blowing Your Hearing

I am not sure why would you need a hovercraft, but I suppose if you want to own the terrain like a boss, then a hovercraft seems like a logical choice. If so, you might want to give Renegade Hovercraft a thought. Renegade, btw, is a successful line of personal hovercraft from the folks who live and breathe hovercraft, Universal Hovercraft and if you can recall, Universal Hovercraft is the outfit responsible for Flying Hovercraft which cost a mighty $190,000 when it was introduced a few years ago. The Renegade range is a little more down-to-earth, well, quite literally. It is basically the hovercraft you have come to expect, which means it will let you maneuver across land and water without the awkwardness associated with typical amphibious vehicles and as a boon, you can have a person hitching a ride with you to share the fun. This Dude Turned A Volvo 240 Wagon Into A Delightful Amphibious Vehicle

amphibious vehicle is almost always associated with rugged, off-road vehicles and never had or will ever have a romantic relationship with road cars, much less a Volvo 240 Wagon, well, that’s until now. a New Yorker by the name of Theon Parseghian, who apparently has this undying love for tinkering with cars in a brutal and fun manner (such as this one here), decided that he should made an amphibious vehicle and the ride of choice is the aforementioned, sweet Volvo 240 Wagon. according to Jalopnik, Theon had a ’85 Brat engine bolted to where the rear seats used to and hooked it up to a propeller for pushing the vehicle through the water. obviously, there were a lot more done to the vehicle to make it water-worthy, which we don’t have a whole lot details. Avtoros Shaman 8×8 ATV Is An Off-road Beast That Can Maneuver Sideways.

if you thought Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6‘s six wheels weren’t enough to cut through marshes and swamps, then perhaps going on eight wheels could, but that eight-wheeler is not from prestige marque like Mercedes. it is from a Russian truck maker, Avtoros and the vehicle in question that will let your conquer virtually any kind of terrains you can throw at it is the Avtoros Shaman 8×8 All-Terrain Vehicle. as the name implies, this truck has eight wheels and is designed specifically to go anywhere Russian landscape has to offer, be it marshes, snow, steep terrains – you name it, and it is amphibious too. it is a full-time eight-wheel drive vehicle with a compelling, almost military-like appearance, save for the bright orange paint work that makes it look a little less military-like. the eight-wheeler is powered by an Iveco F1C 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine, delivering 146 horsepower and mated to a ZF 6 S 400 six-speed manual gearbox. U.S. Marines Would-Be Amphibious Transporter Looks Like A Doomsday Machine

is it just me or today’s military vehicles are looking more and more like doomsday or post-apocalypse machines? case in point: the Ultra Heavy-Lift Amphibious Connector (UHAC). this monstrous war machine is, believe it or not, an amphibious vehicle that is currently being tested as the potential replacement for the aging Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC). at 42 feet long, 26 feet wide, and 17 feet high, this tracked amphibious vehicle is just half the size of the expected final version. speaking of which, the final form will have 2,500 square feet of parking space on the deck and capable of ferrying up to 150 tons of gear. by comparison, the current LCAC has only 1,800 square feet. Amphicruiser – 4×4 Amphibious Vehicle

it may not look like an amphibious vehicle, but rest assure that the Amphicruiser is totally capable of handling the water – thanks to its onboard waterjet propulsion which allows it to swiftly transit from land going four-by-four to a water cruising vehicle at a press of a button. and we talked about ‘water’, we are not referring to puddle of water, but a real open lake – just thought we’d make it clear. unlike the Watercar Panther that still has a hint of boat to it, this creation by Netherlands-based Dutch Amfibious Transport‘s capability as a watercraft is completely inconspicuous, which is the beauty of this thing. in fact, it looks more military than civilian – attributed by its matte finish and a la-Land Cruiser boxy appearance. though, it does so at the expense of its water speed, which clocks in at an extremely humble 13 km/h (8 mph) – which is obviously pale by comparison to Panther’s. The Golf Cart Hovercraft

forget about the pimped up Pennwick Custom Golf Carts. if you really want absolute style when you are hitting the fairways, The Golf Cart Hovercraft by Neoteric Hovercraft is the way to go. when pro golfer Bubba Watson’s Oakley BW1 hovercraft first made its debut, you couldn’t own one even you have the cash to spare, but thanks to the good people at Hammacher Schlemmer, you can now own one for just $58,000. no kidding. the craft is ready for your taking as long you have the money; all that’s left to do is to find a golf course that will tolerate a vehicle that’s capable of gliding over sand traps and water hazards with its whirling 65 horsepower twin-cylinder Hirth engine. the Hirth engine drives a nine-blade axial-flow ducted fan, enabling this amphibious vehicle to hit 45 mph (72 km/h), while keeping it hovering at a comfortable 9 inches off the ground, thereby keeping the lush greeneries beneath out of harms way (though we can’t say the same for the sand trap).
