Karlbox is a special creation by pony-tail wearing fashion legend, 83-year-old Karl Lagerfeld for Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and it is actually quite ironic because Karlbox actually contains 350 items of drawing paraphernalia which is no doubt geared towards a person who do art and as we all know, most artists are not well off – certainly not as well to do to splurge a cool $2,850 for the Karlbox. Yep. That’s right. Nearly 3 grand for a bunch of pencils, markers, charcoals, and watercolor brushes – all arranged neatly in accordance to their color and contained in this beautiful black lacquered beech wood cabinet that opens like some makeup artist box. you already paid top dollars for a roller pen, why not do the same for pencil? well, that’s assuming that you still have the need for one. but there are a few ‘issues’ associated with a traditional pencil: first, we hate the unavoidable chore of sharpening these age-old writing instrument cos’ we can never seem to locate our pencil sharpener when we needed one; second, even if we did manage to sharpened it, the pointed tip never fails to marred our beautiful stationery case’s interior or worst, put a hole through them; and third, it tend to get lost in our huge bag when it is not in the pencil case.
