Sega Genesis Rebooted In Limited Quality For Brazilian Market

If you love Sega but looked away from the very un-Mega Drive Mega Drive Mini, then I am sure what you need is this: a remake of the Sega Genesis AKA Sega Mega Drive. This officially licensed reboot is developed by Brazilian toy maker and Sega’s manufacturing partner, Tectoy, and it will be available for a limited time (though for how long, it is not known) to the Brazilian market. So, Sega fans outside of Brazil are essentially out-of-luck, but it helps if you have relatives or friends of there who can acquire it on your behalf. The console is identical to the original right down to the functioning cartridge slot which is compatible with most original cartridges. Switch, Nintendo’s New Game Console Merges Home And Mobile Gaming

There was a time when game console market was dominated by Playstation and Xbox (it is still so), Nintendo differentiated itself with Wii, and subsequently Wii U, which were consoles that stood out with motion-controlled gaming. However, that key selling point didn’t quite hold up the fort, much less breach the walls held high by the two giants and if Nintendo wants to survive in this brutal game console war, it desperately need to reinvent itself. In between, Nintendo has dished out a couple of miniaturized and slightly modernised version of its ‘ancient’ consoles, the NES Classic and the Family Computer, in an attempt to lure nostalgic gamers, and today, the Japanese game console maker announces Switch, the company’s new game console that ditches motion control in favor of traditional control but with special attention paid to mobility. Nintendo Has Another Palm-size Game Console Targeted At Home Market

While the rest of the world is clamouring over the mini NES Classic, home market’s Nintendo fans won’t be left out in the cold as the game console maker has announced another mini based on the original NES introduced in Japan in 1983. As with the NES Classic Edition, this one is palm-size too and it is totally compatible with modern HDMI-equipped flatscreen TVs. The original NES mini me comes with a pair of classic wired controllers (which is one more over the NES Classic Edition) that conveniently docks on the sides when not in use. Sony Announces 4K-capable Playstation 4 Pro And Slimmer PS4

The moment all Playstation fans have been looking forward to has finally arrived. Early today, in New York, Sony Interactive Entertainment has made official the much rumored new Playstation 4 console. As expected, the company took the wraps off not one, but two consoles, both which are Playstation 4. If you already own a PS4 (and a little more dough to drop), the Playstation 4 Pro, or PS4 Pro, is the one you want to look out for. The PS4 Pro touts a more powerful GPU and faster processor which enables it to support 4K resolution, as well as the now-rad High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging technology, while promising to output smoother frame rates. Apparent New Playstation 4 Slim Appeared On Auction Site, But Is It Real?

If you are hoping to get your hands on a supposed new Playstation 4 Slim way before Playstation Meeting, well, we have news for you. First, it is gone, or to be exact, the ad was removed and second, I personally doubt its authenticity. Though it is known that Sony will be releasing a competing product in response to Microsoft’s Xbox One S, the images, if anything, paints a fuzzy picture (not in a literal sense, btw). I am not sure if its the quality of the picture submitted to The Verge by the U.K.-based seller, or what, but it appears to me to be either a hoax or a prototype sneaked out of Sony’s lab. The rig is dressed in matte black and still sport the same horizontal split design, but this time, without the slant and also, it has rounded corners now and fancy footings. Eds Junk Turned The New Xbox One S Into A Laptop And It Looks Awesome

Xbox One S may be significantly slimmer than the Xbox One, but being a game console, it is not portable and never mean to be. However, if for some reasons, portability is what you desire out of a game console, you have to look to specialist customizer like Eds Zarick AKA Ed Junks. Eds, if you don’t already know, is the other mad scientist other than Ben Heck who had previously turned Playstation 4 and Xbox One into on-the-go gaming consoles. Eds Junk is unstoppable. He simply can’t stop turning consoles into laptops that will allow you to game anywhere as long as there is a power outlet. His latest work is, of course, based on the new Xbox One S. Sega Introduces Mega Drive Mini And It Is Retro Console War All Over Again

Back in the 80s, a game console war was waged between two then big players: Nintendo and Sega. More than three decades later, the battle for consumers’ money continues between the two key players of cartridge-based consoles continues and they are slugging it out with the same consoles. It is indeed console war all over again. Following Nintendo’s announcement of NES Classic, a palm-sized console of its original NES, last week, rival Sega is quick to introduce its own Mega Drive (aka Genesis in North America) in, well, mini form factor, of course. Nintendo NES Classic Is Palm-size, Comes Pre-installed With 30 Games

Thanks to Pokemon Go, Nintendo is suddenly a household name again and a subject of trending news, and seriously, what better time then now to further boosts the news-worthiness of the company? And so it did by announcing the rebirth of the “system that started it all,” the Nintendo Entertainment System, or more commonly known as NES, but this time, this 2016 iteration is very much smaller. It is so tiny that it fits in the palm of your hand (yes, the console). The NES Classic Edition, as it is called, comes bundle with a regular size NES controller. Microsoft Unveils Slim Xbox One And ‘Most Powerful Console Ever Created’

Apple didn’t excite us with new hardware today, but Microsoft’s Xbox sure did. The slimmer Xbox One that leaked is now official. In fact, it was made official just hours after our post. Officially dubbed Xbox One S, this new game console has a lot to be proud of, including the obvious like a slimmer build that’s 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One and previously reported, up to 2TB of storage, which it is going need since it now supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for video and gaming. Actually, we are more impressed by the size reduction because not only did the folks over at Xbox managed to reduce the size drastically, but this much smaller console has a few extras, including a built-in power brick and a newly added IR blaster.
