Wonder Woman Polystone Statue by Prime 1 Studio

While others claim that this beautiful Wonder Woman Polystone Statue by Prime 1 Studio sold by Sideshow Collectibles looks like actress Gal Gadot who played Wonder Woman in Dawn of Justice (which this statue is modelled after, btw), we beg to differ, or at least, I beg to differ. However, that does not mean this statue ain’t beautiful. It is and the fact that it is a polystone statue makes it all the more impressive because we didn’t think statue made out of stone could look this hyperrealistic. Standing some 40 inches (that’s a full meter!) tall, this DC Comics collectible is moulded from polystone, a material used commonly to create scale statues like such, and coated with high-quality translucent resin that gave the statue the life-like skin effect.

It is this crazy life-like skin effect that allows the veins to be visible where they should be that takes this half-scale Wonder Woman to the hyperrealistic realm. And then, there’s the realistic hair too. Man, where did they get those? From a real person? Anywho, the result leaves us pretty much breathless and need me to remind us all that this thing is a freaking statue, and not some plastic action figures conjured up in some Asia territories. Our source’s author said the statue “nails Gadot’s look and facial expressions,” but I can’t make myself to agree.

Sorry, no matter how I look at it, this Amazonian heroine set in stone does not look like Gal Gadot. I wouldn’t say it is completely off though; there’s a tint of Gadot in there, but I won’t go as far as to say Prime 1 Studio nails it. However, this girl in stone looks exceedingly like a real person and as I mentioned earlier, a very beautiful one too. At $2,099.99 a pop, I hardly think the 750 units being offered will fly off the shelves as quick as the Flash – however life-like it may be. In case you decide to dive in and grab it, you should know that it won’t arrive until sometime between July 2017 and September 2017. So, yeah. It will be quite a wait.
