ColorWare Will Now Sell You Apple AirPods In The Colors Of Your Choice

If you have been following this blog, you will have already know that I am not fan of Apple AirPods for reasons which I do not need to repeat myself. Having said that, does customizing it in color chosen from a plethora of colors change my mind about this astounding design fail? Probably not. Though I must admit, disregarding the form, colors do make the already eye-catching (I don’t mean it in a good way, btw) wireless in-ear headphones pops. So, if you are up for some colored StickPods, wait, I mean to say AirPods, with the hope (or not) that perhaps some colors would alleviate the awfulness, well then the maestro of coloring gadgets, ColorWare, is here to help. Focal’s €100K Audiophile Audio Cans Is Loaded With 6.5 Carats Of Diamonds

For those with the penchant for the luxury and sweet audio reproduction, a pair of audiophile headphones wouldn’t be suffice, which is why there’s the Focal Utopia by Tournaire. Focal is renowned for its sound quality, but not nearly enough to satisfy folks with a taste of the ultimate in luxury (read: folks who won’t bat an eyelid swallowing ounces after ounces of Almas caviar) and therefore, the audio equipment maker look to father and son, Philippe and Mathieu Tournaire of Tournaire to give it its high-end open-back headphones the bling that would satisfy even the most demanding, music-loving Scrooge McDuckians. Unveiled in June 2016, the Focal Utopia by Tournaire’s sleek design is boosted by handcrafted Tournaire jewellers’ symbol coated in 18k gold (but, of course) and embellished with luxe-requisite diamonds – totalling 6.5 carats. Amazon Tap’s New OTA Update Makes Buying Echo Looks Kind Of Silly

You know how is it with the Amazon Echo. It is a handy personal assistant and an awesome intermediary between you and IoT, but the thing is, it has to stay plugged to the wall outlet. You could cut it from the wall outlet with this handy accessory, or you could get yourself an Amazon Tap, which is essentially the portable version of the Echo. However, it lacks the support of voice command. Tap, as the product explicitly points out, requires you to press a button to communicate with Alexa. So, at this point, it seems like everything’s fine. Continue reading Amazon Tap’s New OTA Update Makes Buying Echo Looks Kind Of Silly

Meet Logitech BRIO, The World’s First HDR and UHD Webcam

I can’t remember the last time I had to turn on an external webcam. These day, most all-in-one PCs already had a built-in webcam which begs the question: is there still a place of external webcams? Perhaps, no, but that’s until Logitech BRIO comes along. How so? Because it records and streams in freaking 4K. And if that’s not enough, it even has support for Logitech RighLight 3 with HDR and that, btw, is also the industry first for a webcam. But how long before in-built all-in-one PC catches up, is anyone’s guess. Then again, if you are a pro YouTuber, or making multi-dollar deals, you wouldn’t want to live stream or video conference with in-built webcam. You probably would want to be pro with your gear too, and this is where BRIO comes in. Continue reading Meet Logitech BRIO, The World’s First HDR and UHD Webcam

This App-enabled Turntable Spins The Stylus, Not The Vinyl Record

Personally, I thought vinyl record aficionados would not be too picky about the machine that spins the grooved plastic disc. However, if you consider yourself an avant-garde who insist in spinning vinyls on something a little inline with today’s level of technological advancement, well, then the Love Intelligent Turntable by Love Turntable Inc. might be it. Much like the remake of the Soundwagon, RokBok, we read about late last year, Love challenged the convention by not spinning the disc; instead, the device that contains the stylus and cartridge spins. But it does not travel freely on a record without a base like the RokBok; Love is governed and it has a platter too, or rather, it comes with two sizes of platter to suit any size record. Brikk is one of purveyor of opulent tech and while we are accustomed to the luxed gadgets (and non-gadgets) it has to offer thus far, nothing has quite prepared us for this: a pair of headphones coated in gold and handset with no less 200 colorless diamonds, totalling 3 carats. Now, a pair of audio cans with that sort of bling is probably no big deal. This is ONEmicro, The World’s Only True Wireless Surround

Between soundbar and complex and cumbersome multi speaker setup, there is, well, nothing. It is a problem surround sound aficionados are facing. One can either go with a soundbar and be at the mercy of bouncing sound, or deal with irksome wires. Even today’s wireless speakers can’t avoid having cables, which is kind of ironical but that’s just nature’s doing: they need power to run even if audio is wireless. But game changes when ONEAudio ONEmicro Wireless Surround System came along. Touted as the world’s only true wireless surround, ONEmicro is a 5.1 kit comprises of a bunch of tiny satellite speakers that requires no cable, no power cord, a ONEbox mini media server (also called ‘console’) and a twin-driver subwoofer, ONEwoofer. Bonkers! LG’s New Flagship OLED 4K TV Has A Profile Thinner Than An iPhone 7!

LG describes its new flagship OLED 4K TV, W7, “razor-thin” and they are probably right ‘cause a mere 2.57 mm (that’s 0.101-inch!) profile on a 65-inch behemoth, its edge would equate to a razor’s edge. Seriously, that’s absolutely mind-blowing, more so when you know that its thinner than your iPhone 7. When mounted on the wall with magnetic brackets, which leaves no gap between the TV and the wall, it creates an even more picturesque sight. This TV is sure to make your graduation photo on the wall looks like some clunky box stuck on the wall. Crazy. Continue reading Bonkers!
