If you weren’t one of the hundred lucky folks who managed to secure one, here’s another golden opportunity for you to do so; only this time, it is going to be both easy and difficult to obtain. In a way, it is easy to obtain because this particular immaculate example, which apparently has never been ridden, will be going under the hammer at Monterey Car Week. Lotus C-01 Motorcycles

last year, when we heard wind about the prospect of Lotus motorcycles, we are pretty doped and we still are today. in fact, Lotus motorcycles is to become a reality, but the Lotus C-01 Motorcycles, as it is called, will not be built by the British maker of sports and racing cars. word has it that German racing firm Kodewa and tuner Daniel Simon managed to secure the license to use the name from Lotus Cars and will be building the C-01, which is a Daniel Simon’s design. Simon, incidentally, was the person behind the Tron Light Cycles and had dabbled in Bugatti as a consultant. honestly, with a bike this drool-worthy, we don’t quite care who’s behind; all we need to know is, it will be built and it has the innards to match the stunning visual appearance. Lotus Formula One concept car is wrapped in carbon fiber

Lotus Formula One Concept Car by Sonny Lim 544x311px

do you know Sonny Lim? honestly, i don’t, but what i know that this guy has one hell of an imagination. paying tribute to Aryton Senna’s 1986 Lotus 98T, Sonny is not afraid to show the world his interpretation of the Team Lotus’s car for the Formula One 2011 season with the familiar colors of black and gold. instead of sponsor logos in bright colors, Sonny’s concept has them in matte tonal colors over the clear coated carbon fiber body. the top of the car is where the majority of the drag is, hence it is coated with matte finish to “improve laminar flow reducing turbulence and increasing aerodynamic efficiency.” seriously, we don’t care much about the drag coefficient technicalities. we just know it look wonderfully gorgeous. let’s face it, black isn’t for everyone which is perhaps why Sonny has conjured up a white ‘top’ version too. equally awesome. check out a few images after the break to judge for yourself. Lotus T 125 should really be dressed in this design. Continue reading Lotus Formula One concept car is wrapped in carbon fiber
