KAWS Companion As Ooompa Loompas Robot Art Is Strangely Attractive

If you love Slobot, AKA Robot Art, and happen to be particularly enamored by the original movie adaption of the 1964 Roald Dahl novel, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971, Paramount Pictures), then this new piece from Slobot artist Mike Slobot may interest you. Mike Slobot, who is a self-declared Willy Wonka of his Slobot universe, created a robot character inspired by the Ooompa Loompas from the movie which he named Slonkabot 1000-5YL. But this Ooompa Loompas has no love for cocoa beans and it does not make make chocolate; it “work” at Mike’s Slobot Factory churning out robots instead. Chris Uminga DC Artists Alley Vinyl Figures Made DC Heroes Cool Again

Chris Uminga is an artist whose idea of popular superheroes and villains is very different. If you ask me, I would say Uminga’s drawing of iconic characters sit somewhere between the irrational cuteness of Funko and that of the original, but with a tint of creepiness. Think of Uminga’s iteration of characters as Teen Titan, but with a little villainy in them. And that, my friends, is what make them look so super cool. Perhaps even cooler than the originals. Kill Kat Vinyl Figure Is Probably The Most Evil Kit Kat Of All

Evil exists in many forms. Some are obvious, but some like junk food are not immediately apparent. The Kill Kat Vinyl Figure you see here makes it obvious. If the name Kill Kat is not being apparent enough, then the six inches tall conjoined candy evil twin faces should. Oh, those are too cute? What about the in-your-face pentagram printed on the Kit Kat-like wrapper? Is that obvious enough? No? What about its expiry date of 6/6/6, or perhaps 666 calories per serving it has, and the fact that is the number of the beast? Still no? Seriously, what are you??? Fools Paradise: Is Bane Sulking Over The Melted Ice Cream He Can’t Eat?

You know what is the greatest pain Batman’s arch nemesis, Bane, experiences? Probably not the gas mask that he wear to continuously suppresses his excruciating pain; it is probably how he have to witness an ice cream melting before him because he can’t eat it (because of the mask). Ok. I get it. That’s a lame joke, because Bane can eat and drink. All he have to do is to remove the mask and feed himself the painkiller externally, presumably as he consumes his meal. But that doesn’t take away the fun of Fools Paradise interpretation of Bane sulking over a fast melting ice cream he held in his hand and standing next to a coin-operated kiddie ride of the The Dark Knight’s iconic ride, the Tumbler. The camo one, of course. The matte black is still with the cape crusader. Continue reading Fools Paradise: Is Bane Sulking Over The Melted Ice Cream He Can’t Eat?
