Montegrappa Recreated the Lamborghini Miura’s Headlight on a Pen Cap

Montegrappa Automobili Lamborghini Miura Pen

A Lamborghini badge on a pen is nice, but a miniature Miura headlight on a pen cap that actually moves? Now there’s something to fiddle with while pretending to think about what to write. Montegrappa’s new Automobili Lamborghini Miura pen celebrates the supercar’s 60th anniversary with a cap that deserves as much attention as the writing end.

The headlight is crafted from rock crystal, sitting on an engraved base that recreates the original texture. Press the tactile push-button mechanism, and it reproduces the Miura’s famous headlight movement. No, it won’t illuminate the road ahead, but that’s probably asking too much of stationery.

The automotive references continue along the pen. Its aluminum barrel wears Fly Yellow, Miura Green, or Black, inspired by the car’s original colors. The end cap borrows from the engine’s louvered grille, while the clip and cap band reference its slatted details.

Available as a fountain pen or rollerball, both measure 161 mm (6.34 inches) long and 20 mm (0.79 inches) in diameter. The fountain pen weighs 87 grams (3.07 ounces); the rollerball comes in at 92 grams (3.25 ounces).

Fountain pen buyers get a ruthenium-plated 18K gold nib engraved with Lamborghini’s shield, an ebonite feed, and cartridge/converter filling. Nib choices range from Extra Fine to Broad, plus a 1.1 mm Stub.

Even the lacquered-wood and genuine-leather presentation case takes inspiration from the Miura’s seats and interior.

The numbered collection comes in Fly Yellow, Miura Green, and Black, with 60 examples of each color in each pen format. Available from mid-November 2026, the fountain pen costs €8,250 (approximately US$9,280), while the rollerball goes for €6,850 (approximately US$7,710).

Note: US$ conversions are approximate.
