Dodge Super Bee May Have Returned With Six Cylinders, but It Still Packs a Serious Sting

2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee

You may not be old enough to remember the original Autobianchi A112 Runabout from 1969, let alone celebrate its recent revival, but you might just be old enough to have fond memories of the Dodge Super Bee. Well, here’s another blast from the past to make you feel young again. The Super Bee is back, and this time, it has traded its mighty V8 for a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine. But don’t worry, the sting is stronger than ever.

Unveiled at the 11th annual Roadkill Nights event in Pontiac, Michigan, the new Super Bee builds on the Charger Scat Pack with a more potent version of Dodge’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged SIXPACK inline-six engine. Larger turbochargers and upgraded cooling help deliver a targeted 600 hp, or an impressive 200 hp per liter.

Dodge estimates a 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) sprint of 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds. Power goes through an eight-speed automatic transmission, with all-wheel drive and the ability to switch to rear-wheel drive at the push of a button.

Stopping power comes from Brembo brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. Available performance hardware includes dual-valve adaptive dampers, while launch control helps manage wheelspin during hard acceleration.

Visually, the Super Bee gets exclusive graphics, signature badging, gloss-black wheels, a rear spoiler, and dark exhaust tips. Exterior colors include Sucker Punch, Diamond Black, and Shady. Inside, yellow contrast stitching, Super Bee branding, and a performance steering wheel distinguish it from the regular Charger.

An available Track Package adds a Drive eXperience Recorder capable of capturing 1080p video at 60 fps, complete with post-drive analysis.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition is expected to arrive in mid-2027. Pricing has yet to be announced, and Dodge’s performance figures remain preliminary. Meanwhile, you can dig into more information over at www.dodge.com.
