three special edition Leica cameras were introduced to mark the 20 years Leica Shop Vienna. the trio of cameras include Leica M9-P “20 years Leica Shop Vienna”, Leica M3-P “20 years Leica Shop Vienna” and the Leica D-Lux 5. the former two comes packaged with Leica Noctulux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH and just like the Hammertone, both the M9-P and M3-P sport a toned down branding. both the M9-P and M3-P shares a few common aesthetic features, including top cover engraved with “Classic Leica Script” and serial number, special edition number on the hot shoe and lens in silver anodized finish.

the Digital Leica M9-P is finished in silver chrome finish with black saddle leather and has a limited production run of just 20 units. the Digital Leica M3-P is also in silver chrome finish but with vulcanite cladding and also has a limited run of just 20 units. the Leica D-Lux 5 is the first camera in Leica’s history to be designed by a famous artist, Prof. Heimo Zobernig. the D-Lux 5 will have limited production run of 100 units. there is no word on the pricing and exact availability for the M9-P and M3-P but the D-Lux 5 is available now online for 665 euro a pop.
