pocket watch parts + old bullets = Steampunk Bullet Insects

if you love steampunk, you are definitely going to dig these. created by England-based British Artist, Tom Hardwidge, these sculptures are designed and hand built by Tom in his humble abode – on the dinning table, to be exact. these sculpture mostly started out their life as deactivated ammunitions layered with sheet copper, brass and aluminum on which wings and limps of the similar material are attached to. the addition of parts from old pocket watches complete the steampunk look, which we thought look pretty damn awesome. though, Tom’s works bear resemblance to the real world creepy crawlies, these sculptures aren’t as tiny. the smallest among Tom’s works collection, Hymechenoptera Oculus, measures 55 mm in length. now, you won’t find such huge flying insect in the real world, do you?
