Part of the essence that made Assassin’s Creed such a successful video game franchise is the soundtrack, and the soundtrack is what Ubisoft is using to mark the game’s 15th anniversary.
The limited edition Assassin’s Creed – Leap Into History Vinyl Box Set is a 5LP set featuring ‘gold nugget’ discs, a custom slipmat with the brand new 15th-anniversary logo, and a 12-inch art print.
Loaded inside the 5 golden vinyls are beloved tracks by Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner, Austin Wintory, and more.
But this is more than just a collection of wholesome music; it is a listening experience that follows the historical timeline, from classical Odyssey through to modern era Syndicate:
“Listeners will be taken on a truly epic chronological journey through the series’ historical timeline — starting in antiquity with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and ending in the modern era with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Each vinyl side includes music from one of the mainline games (Ezio sequels Brotherhood and Revelations share a side, as do Unity and Rogue.)”
All told, 70 tracks have been curated and specially mastered for vinyl, and pressed onto heavyweight LPs. Each vinyl is slipped into a printed inner sleeve, and fit into a rigid board slipcase adorned with gold foil.
