Infinix GT 20 Pro PMWC Collaboration Box: It’s The PUBGM Digital Goodies That Matters

Infinix GT 20 Pro PMWC Collaboration Box

Infinix Mobility has a new collab device that will make PUBG Mobile fans go ga-ga. The device chosen for this collab with the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) is the Infinix GT 20 Pro, a device featuring a bold “Cyber Mecha Design” with a “Mecha Loop LED Interface”. The latter is pretty much a mini LED ring embedded in the back cover that offers 8 colors combos, and 4 lighting effects.

Save for the packaging, there is no PUBG Mobile aesthetic, nor are there PUBG Mobile goodies, well, at least nothing tangible. Instead, it is a bundle that comes with a PUBGM card featuring customized in-game items like a parachute, T-shirt, red rose skin, and weapon skin. That’s about it.

Beyond that, you be getting the regular Infinix GT 20 Pro which, for the uninitiated, is the world’s first dual-chip smartphone. In addition to the 4 nm process, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G chip that powers the device, and the integrated Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is also rocking a dedicated gaming display chip, the Pixelworks X5 Turbo.

This gaming chip promises up to 120 FPS gaming experience. It features MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) and Gaming Visual Enhancement Technology to boost the frame rates. The device promises a stable frame-rate engine even during intense gaming sessions and does so with “notably” low temperatures. It also promises FPS variation less than 3.5 and claims capable of sustaining 120 FPS for 60 minutes.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is outfitted with a “bezel-less” (not really but close enough, I guess?) 144 Hz 6.78” FHD+ AMOLED display that offers 1,300 nits peak brightness, 2,304 Hz PWM dimming, 360 Hz touch sampling rate, 1,500 Hz instant touch sampling rate, and 16x touch partitions.

In the imaging department, it has a 108 MP OIS tri-camera setup, featuring a Samsung HM6 108 MP sensor, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth camera. Over at the front, on the display is a 32 MP selfie camera.

This phone is not just a gaming phone by name; Infinix said it studied how gamers hold the phone to implement the optimum 5G antenna placement for the best signal strength possible. Also, it has a dedicated esports mode that promises distraction-free gaming.

Other notable include 256 GB UFS 3.1, 8/12 GB LPDDR5X, up to 24 GB extended RAM, dual speaker with sound by JBL, dual mic, Hi-Res Audio, DTS, dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, IR, IP54, under-display fingerprint sensor, x-axis linear motor, and 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charge.

Finally, it is kind of a purist device because the XOS 14 is free of bloatware. Moreover, it comes with 2 major Android upgrades plus 3-year security patch updates.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro PMWC Collaboration Box is supposed available now for US$280 but we cannot find it anywhere.
