Hot on the heels of the Nothing Phone (2a) Special Edition, is the Plus model. That’s right. Nothing has grown again, this time it welcomes the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus to its family. The phone will only be launched tomorrow (August 07) and here’s what you need to know.

The new Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is powered by a Nothing exclusive MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G System on chip and Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6. The exclusive to Nothing SoC is a 4 nm process chip featuring an octacore ARM CPU architecture with clock speed up to 3 GHz. It is paired with a Mali-G610 GPU (1.3 GHz).

The new Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is outfitted with a flexible 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate 6.7” AMOLED display that offers 1,300 nits peak brightness and over a billion colors.

This glorious display is home to an in-screen optical fingerprint scanner and a 50 MP front-facing hole-punch camera. The selfie camera boasts an AI-driven portrait optimizer, as well as 4K 30 fps video recording that should make vloggers super happy.

Around the back, there is a dual 50 MP camera setup made up of a 50 MP 1/1.57” sensor camera with OIS and EIS, and a 50 MP 1/2.76” sensor ultra wide-angle camera boasting 114° FoV.

Also on the back is the Nothing requisite Glyph Interface offering 15 innovative functions. The Glyph Interface can deliver essential information via customizable light and sound combinations, keeping you in the know without too much screen time.

Another highlight is the advanced liquid cooling system. It boasts a 3,200 mm2 vapor chamber for faster heat dissipation by transferring the heat across the back of the device. In addition, it features a cryogenic frame made of solid graphite that is 110 micrometers thick and 12,000 mm2 to further hasten the heat removal.

Other specs and features include 20 GB RAM (12 GB + 8 GB RAM Booster), Corning Gorilla Glass 5, ChatGPT integration, dual 5G offering up to 3.3 Gbps downlink speed, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, NFC (supports Google Wallet), Face Unlock, stereo speakers, IP54 rated, advanced hotspot that uses less power, built-in battery health technology, AI-powered game optimization, and SmartLink for improved call quality.

Nothing wants you to know that the Nothing (2a) Plus is designed in London. Oh, there is another key highlight. It has the largest capacity on a Nothing phone to date. Pack in the (2a) Plus is a 5,000 mAh battery good for 2 days of use and it further touts a 50 W fast charge that affords up to a day of power with just 20 minutes of charging.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Smartphone will be launched on August 7 for US$399.
