Aston Martin has shipped some of its finest cars across the pond again. This time, it is for Monterey Car Week 2026, where the British marque will unveil three exclusive DB12 S Coupes created by Q by Aston Martin for the 75th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The trio pays tribute to three DB2 racing cars built for the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans and campaigned by the Aston Martin factory team and private entrants during the early 1950s. Known by their British registration numbers, the original cars wore differently colored grilles to distinguish them from one another.
Q has recreated that arrangement with VMF 63 featuring Rosso Red accents, VMF 64 receiving Speed Yellow details, and VMF 65 wearing Ellwood Blue highlights. All three have Carbon Black paint, colored grille vanes, “75” roundels on the fenders, painted carbon-fiber side strakes, a painted carbon-fiber Aeroblade, and a DB2 graphic at the rear.
Their respective colors continue inside through the contrast stitching, embroidered Aston Martin wings, start/stop controller, and paddle-shifter tips. The front seatbacks feature embroidered DB2 silhouettes, while “75” roundels occupy the rear seatbacks. Bespoke sill plaques identify the inspiration, in case all those clues were somehow too subtle.
Underneath the historical dress-up is the regular DB12 S hardware: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 700 PS (690 bhp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and tops out at 325 km/h (202 mph). History, it appears, has become considerably faster.
