FCNT arrows N F-51C Smartphone

Japanese mobile telecommunication company FCNT has unveiled a new smartphone that it is said is the “most sustainable smartphone in Japan” under its rebranded arrows brand.

Called arrows N F-51, around 67% of the materials (excluding electronic components) used in the device are recycled materials and feature charging technology that would allow the battery to last up to 4 years, thus realizing longevity.

The arrows N F-51 is the flagship model that promised three OS updates and security updates for up to 4 years.

Both the exterior and internal frames are made from recycled plastic. Meanwhile, the camera frame and the side frame are crafted from 100% recycled aluminum.

In addition, renewable energy is being used in the domestic manufacturing process, i.e. assembly, testing, and packaging, and FSC-certified paper and biomass ink are used for the packaging boxes.

As for the spec-sheet details, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G Mobile Platform-powered F-51 features 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM, a 120 Hz 6.24-inch FHD+ OLED display, a dual rear-facing camera (50 MP + 8 MP) with EIS and dual PD AF, a 12 MP selfie camera, IPX5/8 water resistant, IP6X dustproof, conforms to 23 US Department of Defense procurement standards (MIL-STD 810H), and a 4,600 mAh battery.

Being green is not the only thing this phone is. With the sale of each device on the Docomo online shop, 1% of the purchase price will be donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature Japan. Devices bought by May 31 2023 will be eligible for the donation.

The arrows N F-51 Smartphone from FCNT will be available starting February 2023, exclusively from NTT Docomo. Pricing is TBA. If you read Japanese, you may learn more HERE.
