Do you still go to the movie theaters? If your answer is ‘no’ then you may want to reconsider that decision – more so especially if you are a huge fan of Ghostbusters. And not just any old cinema. You will want to watch the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire at one Regal Cinemas because they have this: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Ghost Trap Popcorn Bucket.
The product name pretty much says it all; it is the Ghost Trap as a popcorn bucket. I believe this Ghost Trap is based on what we will see in the latest Ghostbusters movie. It has a set of opening trap doors that open to reveal the popcorn (or not) and apparently, it has lights too.
I don’t believe there are other functions besides that. Then again, what more do we need right? Catch a ghost? Nah. This thing will do that, obviously. If anything, it will probably catch the soul of the popcorn after you mercilessly chow them down. Just kidding, it will not.
Also, no attached cable for remotely triggering the Ghost Trap. Dang it.
Now about watching the new Ghostbusters at the theaters just to get this super cool popcorn bucket… actually you may not need to. Regal has listed the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Ghost Trap Popcorn Bucket on its online store, store.regalmovies.com, for US$24.95 a pop. It is not live yet at the time of this post but it will be starting March 22, 2024, on the day of the movie’s release.
