Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Luxury Sedan

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Luxury Sedan

Infiniti is a brand that’s closely associated with luxury than performance. unlike other luxury marques, it practically has nothing to boast about when it comes serious performance like what the M rides and AMG has been doing for BMW and Mercedes-Benz, respectively. the Nissan’s luxe brand do have the IPL aka the Infiniti Performance Line, but that hasn’t quite caught on with the market. however, the brand is about to change that and as a demonstration that it can actually marries grunt power and opulence, they have the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Luxury Sedan, albeit being a concept, to show at the Detroit Auto Show this week.

based on the firm’s Q50 Premium Sports Sedan, Infinity proudly claims that this particular concept is “infused with the enticing spirit of Formula One.” it presents as a glimpse of the brand’s design prowess for high performance vehicles with exterior features bearing design influences from Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One (hence, the aforementioned statement). no mention of the drivetrain as yet, but according to Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company Limited, if this were to be built, it likely to be fitted with a force induction V engine with over 500 horses and 600 lb-ft of torque.

but that is still ‘if’ and so for now, avid motoring enthusiasts can expect to be greeted with drool-worthy styling including a bespoke aerodynamic carbon fiber bodywork, a lower and wider stance, a larger deck lid spoiler for added downforce, a custom red paint job, dark-chrome detailing that extends to the interior, a double air-vented hood, a F1-inspired rear fog light, and lightweight, 21-inch forged alloy wheels. on the inside, it will have a high-grip sports steering wheel with Formula One-style paddle-shifters, red-infused carbon fiber detailing and more.

by the look of the images, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Luxury Sedan is certainly looking good, perhaps a little too good that it reminiscent more of a boy racer ride than a luxury performance car, but that might just be me.
