From demanding more space to requiring only a modest corner, LEGO Harry Potter has you covered. If even the microscale Hogwarts Castle and Grounds is too large for your cupboard-under-the-stairs-sized space, then the new LEGO Harry Potter Mini Hogwarts Castle (40975) is for you.
The 700-piece set compresses the school of witchcraft and wizardry into a model measuring just over 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall, 6.5 inches (17 cm) wide, and 5 inches (12 cm) deep. Within that compact footprint are microscale versions of the Great Hall, Main Tower, East Wing, and Astronomy Tower. Well, what can we say? It sure looks like magical architecture also works when subjected to aggressive downsizing.
Size has not stopped LEGO from including underground secrets. Lift the East Wing to expose the Chamber of Secrets, while another concealed room contains the Mirror of Erised. The latter presumably shows LEGO collectors gazing upon themselves with sufficient shelf space.
Harry Potter and Hedwig are displayed flying over the castle on Harry’s broomstick. Harry is represented by a regular minifigure, making him look alarmingly enormous beside the microscale school. Perhaps Hogwarts has finally found something more concerning than the Basilisk.
The LEGO Harry Potter Mini Hogwarts Castle (40975) launches on August 29, 2026, for US$39.99. It is proof that you can fit Hogwarts into a tiny space while still having it look, well, unmistakably like Hogwarts.
