Ninjago fans, you are going to need a bigger LEGO display room. LEGO has officially pulled the curtain back on a few sets to celebrate NINJAGO’s 15th anniversary, and yes, fifteen years somehow passed while we were busy arguing about which ninja was the coolest. Anyone who started watching this series as a kid is now very likely an adult with disposable income, which makes the timing of the LEGO NINJAGO The Old Town 15th Anniversary (71861) feel a little too perfect.
This is not a small nostalgia nod, by the way. The Old Town is a full-scale tribute build made up of 4,851 pieces and is aimed at builders aged 14 and above. It features four modular sections consisting of a front gate, a post office with workshop, a three-story tower, and a lookout. These modules can be connected in a circle, arranged into a long street display stretching over 100 centimeters, or separated for individual play. Translation: you get to rearrange it until your shelf taps out.
Minifigures are where this set really shows off. You get 23 minifigures, the most ever packed into a single NINJAGO set. This includes all seven original ninja and three exclusive collectible characters presented on stands: Young Wu, Young Garmadon, and The First Spinjitzu Master. That alone is enough to make longtime fans pause, stare, and rethink shelf space priorities.
The town itself is loaded with references pulled from across 15 years of episodes, books, and comics. There is a Blossom Tree, Chuck the Carpenter’s workshop, Dr. Saunders’ office, and even a hidden Loyalist hideout. Interactive elements are everywhere, including a zip line for minifigures, a working crane, a tea cart, a woodshop, an exploding wall, secret entrances, ninja artifacts, and more little surprises than you have patience to list during a casual glance.
Dimension-wise, the main Old Town model measures over 34 centimeters (13.5 inches) high, 53 centimeters (20.9 inches) wide, and 44 centimeters (17.3 inches) deep, making it a serious display piece even before you start stretching it into a street layout.
Before wrapping up, LEGO is not stopping with just one anniversary build. There is also Lloyd’s Titan Mech 15th Anniversary, a large, poseable mech packed with updated details, and the Four Weapons Blacksmith 15th Anniversary, which recreates the very first location ever seen in the NINJAGO pilot episode. Together, they round out the anniversary lineup.
The LEGO NINJAGO The Old Town 15th Anniversary (71861) will be available from 1 January 2026 for a grand US$299.99.
