OnePlus’ First Wearable Is A Fitness Tracker Called OnePlus Band

OnePlus Band Launched In India

OnePlus is on an growth spurt. Since its inception 7 years ago, it always have a couple of flagship phones each year. Then came its first-ever mid-range, the OnePlus Nord and then two more, the Nord N Series. And then now, this: OnePlus Band.

No surprise here. OnePlus Band looks like any other fitness tracker in the market. It has a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 126 x 294 pixels, packs 100 mAh battery that can last up to two weeks per charge, boasts Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and it is IP68-rated.

Details of the chip and memory are not offered, but that’s nothing new because, saved for major brands, most wearables almost always lack those details.

Functionality aspect, it can track 13 different exercises, let you know if you’ve been sitting for too long, monitor heart rate and sleep as well as blood-oxygen level. All these information are available on the tiny screen.

However, like many fitness trackers in the market, in depth details of your health – according to the band – is available through the companion app. Also like most fitness bands, it has basic smartwatch functionality, including push notifications, music playback, alarms and timers.

Sound good? Well, here’s the caveat: the OnePlus Band, as of now, is available in India. The price? 2,499 Rupees, which works out to be around US$34 based on the current going rate.
