Like many Chinese smartphone brands, OnePlus is spoiling consumers with choices. Or should I say, it has all kinds of usage and budget covered. In addition to the handy 15T and the gaming-focused Ace 6 Ultra, it also has the new Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro joining the Turbo 6 launched early this year.
The new pair sits further down the performance ladder, but OnePlus has not interpreted “affordable” as permission to install batteries borrowed from 2019. The regular Turbo 6X carries a 7,000 mAh battery, while the Pro receives an enormous 8,000 mAh unit. Once again, Chinese smartphones are making power banks nervous about their employment prospects.
The Turbo 6X Pro [CH] is the better-equipped sibling. It runs on the 4 nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SUPER, accompanied by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. OnePlus quotes an AnTuTu score exceeding 1.06 million, which should be plenty for everyday apps, multitasking, and gaming without pretending that it belongs in an esports arena.
Keeping things visible is a flat 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 2,772 x 1,272 resolution, otherwise known as 1.5K. It supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, Samsung M14 luminous material, full-brightness DC-like dimming, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and a claimed peak brightness of 6,500 nits. Global brightness tops out at a more earthly 1,400 nits.
The screen also supports operation with gloves and responds to wet or oily fingers. That should cover winter, rain, lunch, and anyone who insists on consulting a recipe halfway through kneading dough.
Its 8,000 mAh battery supports 80 W wired charging, reaching 50% in a claimed 31 minutes. Bypass charging can feed the phone directly during gaming to reduce heat and battery wear, while wired reverse charging lets the phone lend power to smaller devices. OnePlus claims up to 29 hours of short-video viewing, eight hours of gaming, or 17 hours of navigation.
The Pro features a dual rear setup led by a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8 MP ultrawide camera, alongside a 16 MP front camera for selfies. So whether you are framing tight shots or wide landscapes, panoramic ambitions are well covered.
Other highlights include a 3,000 Hz instantaneous touch-sampling rate, a 360-degree antenna system, vapor-chamber cooling, stereo speakers, NFC, an infrared transmitter, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, meaning it is prepared for dust, immersion, powerful water jets, and users who regard waterproofing as a personal challenge.
The regular Turbo 6X [CH] takes the more economical route. It uses the 4 nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 SUPER with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and support for microSD cards as large as 2 TB.
Its 6.72-inch LCD has a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits of brightness. LCD may not deliver the deep blacks of the Pro’s AMOLED panel, but hardware-level DC dimming means no PWM flicker, which may appeal to users sensitive to OLED displays.
The 7,000 mAh battery supports 45 W wired charging, bypass charging, and wired reverse charging. OnePlus claims up to 24 hours of short videos, nine hours of gaming, 20 hours of online classes, or 15 hours of navigation. Apparently, the battery may outlast both the lecture and your willingness to remain awake for it.
Photography is handled by a rear dual-camera setup featuring a 50 MP main camera paired with a 2 MP secondary sensor, alongside an 8 MP front camera for selfies. The Turbo 6X also gets stereo speakers, NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 360-degree antenna arrangement, and a large graphite-and-vapor-chamber cooling system. Its IP64 rating is less heroic than the Pro’s alphabet soup, but it still provides dust protection and resistance to water splashes.
Both phones run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus promises five years of smooth operation for the Turbo 6X and six years for qualifying Turbo 6X Pro configurations. Their batteries are also claimed to retain at least 80% capacity after six years under OnePlus’ laboratory conditions.
The Turbo 6X is available in white, green, and black finishes, while the Pro comes in orange and black. Both were launched in China on June 10, 2026.
Launch prices for the OnePlus Turbo 6X start at 1,799 yuan [CH] (about US$267) for the 6 GB/128 GB model and reach 2,299 yuan (about US$341) for the 12 GB/256 GB version. The Turbo 6X Pro starts at 1,999 yuan [CH] (about US$296) and tops out at 2,399 yuan (about US$356) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. International availability has not been announced.
The choice is straightforward: the Turbo 6X delivers the cheaper ticket, an LCD screen, and excellent battery life, while the Pro adds a sharper AMOLED display, faster charging, OIS, better protection, and another 1,000 mAh. Either way, battery anxiety will have to find somebody else to bother.
