Audio over Bluetooth’s potential is bound by codec and latency limitations built into phones, computers, and game consoles. Hence the saying that wireless will never compare to wired. With that in mind, I’d say go for the wired route, but if you are hellbent on taking the wireless route, there’s a solution, and it is called the QCC Dongle Pro2 Bluetooth Transmitter by Hi-Fi audio brand Questyle.
It enables premium Bluetooth headphones to access low-latency, high-resolution wireless audio from iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and wired Hi-Fi equipment such as Questyle’s M18i Max. Think of it as the DAC equivalent for wireless audio.
As denoted by the product name, the QCC Dongle Pro2 is the second-generation dongle, and it is built around Bluetooth 6.1, promising stronger interference resistance, improved connection stability, better power efficiency, and more precise audio-video synchronization. However, it is worth noting that Questyle does not provide numerical latency, resolution, dimensions, or power-consumption figures.
The device supports a wide variety of codecs, including LHDC-V5, LC3 and LE Audio, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and Sony LDAC. Moreover, it boasts Apple MFi, Sony LDAC, and Snapdragon Sound certifications.
Meanwhile, Auracast support allows one audio source to broadcast to multiple compatible receivers, making shared listening possible at home, in offices, or in public spaces. But of course, the actual codec availability, latency, LE Audio, and Auracast performance depend on the receiving device and surrounding wireless conditions.
The QCC Dongle Pro2 is app-enabled, allowing you to manage connected devices, view real-time operating status, select audio codecs, and install firmware updates via the Questyle app.
