Roku Streambar: An Affordable And Compact Streaming Media Player Sound Bar

Roku Streambar Streaming Media Player Sound Bar

Roku is the first in the market to marry a sound bar with streaming media player with the TCL Alto Smart Sound. It is not the most affordable, TBH, until the onn series arrived last October.

If you think a streaming media player sound bar a great solution, but find that the former two options are too pricey, well, then Roku Streambar may appeal to you. Coming in at US$129.99, the Streambar is not only more affordable, but also very much smaller at just 14 inches (about 36 cm) wide.

It is a 2.0-channel sound bar featuring side-firing “wide” speakers and further boasts the ability to process 5.1 audio that will allow you to upgrade the system to include, for example, a wireless subwoofer and surround speakers.

Roku Streambar promise to deliver crisp, clear dialogue while quieting loud commercials, along with powerful streaming up to 4K resolution with HDR support and cinematic sound with Dolby Audio, pumped out through four 1.9-inch full-range drivers.

It can, of course, stream music from popular channels as well as from a Bluetooth device.

Roku Streambar comes with a voice remote that lets you use voice to search, turn captions on, and more, plus it can be used to power up the TV, adjust the volume and control your streaming.

Roku Streambar Streaming Media Player Sound Bar is available on backorder on roku.com with delivery expected to happen on October 20.
