For a moment, I thought Roku is already slashing prices of its spanking new Roku Smart Sound and Roku Wireless Subwoofer. Well, it wasn’t. What you see here are onn. Roku Smart Soundbar and onn. Roku Wireless Subwoofer, the more wallet-friendly version of the company’s soundbar and subwoofer, released in collaboration with Walmart.

With the onn. Roku Smart Soundbar, you’d be giving your flat screen TV’s audio a boost while having access to a host of entertainment options, including over 500,000 movies and TV shows, and myriad of songs on thousands of paid and free channels. Basically, the onn. Roku Smart Soundbar is the sound bar form of the Roku Ultra.

Key features of the sound bar include automatic volume leveling, night mode, speech clarity, Roku Connect, Dolby Audio, Bluetooth technology, HDMI-RAC or Optical support, and of course, Roku Search. The onn. Roku Wireless Subwoofer, on the other hand, is, well, a wireless subwoofer for those who demand for low frequency audio.

The onn. Roku Smart Soundbar and onn. Roku Wireless Subwoofer are expected to be available “in coming weeks” exclusively at Walmart for $129 each. Strange move there on Roku part.

Wouldn’t this cannibalize its own market? I mean, after all, Roku has just announced the sound bar and sub back in September and they are not even available yet. Weird. But hey, if it is deal, who would say no, right?
