Vinyl may be an old-school format, but the Victrola Wave Bluetooth Turntable has no desire to be tethered to the hi-fi corner. It plays records the traditional wired way or sends them wirelessly to compatible speakers and headphones, allowing your music collection to travel farther than the turntable itself.
Wireless duties are handled by Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive and aptX HD, while Auracast Broadcast Audio lets the Wave share playback with multiple compatible devices simultaneously. That means everyone can listen through their own headphones without gathering around the turntable like it is telling a campfire story.
For conventional systems, there is an RCA output with a switchable phono preamp, so the Wave can connect directly to powered speakers or join an existing amplifier setup.
Its hardware includes a low-resonance MDF plinth, die-cast aluminum platter, and aluminum tonearm with a removable headshell. An adjustable counterweight supports proper tracking, while selectable 33⅓ and 45 RPM speeds cover the usual record formats. A removable dust cover protects everything when the music stops.
Choose the Walnut finish, and Victrola adds an Ortofon OM 5E cartridge. Other finishes do not receive that particular upgrade, so apparently even cartridges appreciate coordinated wood décor.
The Victrola Wave Bluetooth Turntable is available now for £349, US$499, or €399. A yellow-and-black Third Man Records limited edition is also available in the United States.
